Hi, I'm John!
I'm a fully qualified secondary Science teacher with over 10 years of teaching experience, specialising in AQA GCSE Combined Science. Having taught in secondary schools across London and Buckinghamshire — including as Head of Science and Assistant Headteacher — I launched Clockwork Science to do what I love most: help students finally clock the science.
I created the Clockwork Science Accelerator groups because I know exactly what makes students struggle with GCSE Science — and exactly what helps them turn it around.
The Accelerator groups are designed to:
✔ Build genuine confidence in Science
✔ Improve understanding of the topics students find most challenging.
✔ Develop strong, examiner-focused exam technique
✔ Create a space where students feel completely comfortable asking questions
I believe students make their best progress when they feel supported and understood — not pressured.
Every session is structured, focused and friendly, with real progress in both confidence and grades as the goal.
Every student also receives:
✔ Monthly structured workbooks for use during sessions
✔ Homework booklets packed with GCSE past-paper questions
✔ Access to dedicated year-group WhatsApp channels for between-session support
